Support Larry Clark's Quadruple Bypass Heart Surgery

Donation protected
My name is Stacy Clark, the wife of Larry Clark, of Cassville, MO. Larry has had an unimaginable past 4+ months. In October of 2024, Larry had surgery to repair an inguinal hernia. This surgery nearly cost him his life. Within hours of the surgery, he bled internally. That caused Larry’s blood pressure to bottom out, his potassium to climb to a deadly level, his blood glucose to skyrocket and his kidneys to malfunction. Larry became unresponsive at home and had to be life flighted to Springfield, MO. Thank God for the knowledgeable staff at Cox South. They quickly figured out what was causing these issues and took the necessary steps to take care of Larry and nurse him back to health. After his stay in ICU, and then a regular room, he was released to go home to continue to heal. Larry was told the healing time of his massive hematoma would be upwards of 8 weeks. While in pain from his internal damage and the hematoma, he began to have chest pains off and on. These pains came at different times, happening when he was relaxing and when he was performing different tasks. During a checkup pertaining to his previous hospitalization, the doctor became concerned about Larry’s chest pains and asked him to immediately go to the emergency room at Cox in Monett, MO. Upon examination there, they admitted Larry for testing. Larry did an ultrasound on his heart along with a medicine induced stress test on his heart. The results were inconclusive and they wanted him to schedule an angiogram at Cox South. After consultation with the angiogram surgeon, Larry went in for the procedure. It was discussed that stints would be put in at the time of the procedure, if needed. Unfortunately, we received devastating news from the angiogram surgeon. Larry has severe blockages in the heart (70% blocked on the upper left, 80% blocked on the upper right and 90% blocked on the back). The blockages are too severe for stints to do any good. At this point, the only option that can possibly help is a quadruple bypass heart surgery. The surgeon who would do that procedure also spoke to Larry, expressing it needed to be done immediately. Without it, Larry could have a lethal heart attack at any time. With it, it could lengthen his life by 18 to 20 years. That surgeon also stated that without surgery, Larry may not necessarily have a heart attack. However, chest pains would become worse and more often, and he would pass away due to congestive heart failure. The surgeon also explained that a bypass surgery will not be an option if blockages become much more severe. Therefore, it’s needed to be done as soon as possible for Larry to have a chance at life. With that being said, the quadruple bypass heart surgery is scheduled at Cox South for Monday, 03/17/2025.

Because of Larry’s health, I have been the only source of income for our household. With this major surgery, I will be using family medical leave and taking time off of work. I will be with my husband during his procedure and for several weeks, to months, after. If you can find it in your heart to make a monetary donation, we would forever be grateful. All donations received will be used for medical expenses and bills. Please know, no donation is too small. If you would prefer to make a donation through Cash App instead of gofundme, my Cash App account is $ClarkStacyLynn. And, of course, please pray for Larry! Thank you!
