Dear friends,
Many of us are heartbroken and still in shock by the tragic passing of our dearest friend and former co-worker, Kristina. She left us on July 20th with a giant hole in our hearts. A week prior, her husband, Larry, found her on the floor unresponsive due to a blood clot that burst in her brain. She was in a coma and unfortunately did not survive.
Anyone that knew Kristina was affected by her warm smile and her thoughtful, intuitive nature. She was loud, obnoxious at times (IYKYK), funny, playful, a prankster, but overall a very kind-hearted person who would comfort you whenever she saw that you were in distress. She was that way with every single living creature on Earth. She would drive a great distance even with a broken back just to meet you for lunch and not eat anything but order food for her husband instead. She loved Larry and she also loved their animals. She would stop traffic to help geese or ducks cross the road. She would never drive in the dark because she was afraid that she would hurt a squirrel. She had a lot of quirks that will be missed. She was truly one of a kind.
It was no secret that Kristina's dream was to retire, buy a farm, and raise animals there. It was all she talked about when we last worked together. We are devastated for her beloved husband, Larry, who must now unexpectedly take on the sole role of caring for all the animals she left behind. She sent me pictures of four deer that often visited their farm, she had more than a dozen cats she fixed and cared for, and two dogs that I am aware of just to name a few.
I volunteered to set up this GoFundMe in her honor to help Larry with Kristina's medical bills and funeral fees, as well as the day-to-day expenses for the animals she left behind. Any dollar amount you can donate will be used to provide financial support for her grieving husband to adjust to this new reality.
Please donate whatever you are able and PLEASE SHARE the link with others. All of your contributions (minus the fees from GoFundMe) will go directly to Larry. Your contribution, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated.
Kristina, an organ donor, was not the type of person to ask for monetary help, but I also know that she would want Larry and all the animals she left behind to be okay.
Thank you so much in advance.
Sincerely,
Grace A.
