Support Larkin's Fight Against Leukemia

Donation protected
Hi Everyone! I am starting this gofundme for my dear friend Julia and her family. Her sweet four year old baby boy, Larkin, has recently been diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). We are hoping to raise funds to help cover lost wages, medical bills, food, gas- really anything the Fulk family needs at this time! Below is a post shared by Julia. Every donation is greatly appreciated, no matter how large or small. Please share and send healing vibes and prayers to them at this time.

“We have been waiting and waiting on this week to come. Larkin was so excited to finally start preschool and he was SO ready to go. Unfortunately, life had other plans.

It is with the heaviest hearts that Lewis and I share that our sweet baby boy, Larkin Hayes, was diagnosed with B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, also known as B-ALL. He will be receiving treatment for the next 2.5 years. I’m physically sick to my stomach every time I have to even say it. What was supposed to be the best week, starting school with his very best friend, took a turn we never saw coming. Heartbreaking. Shocking. Confusing. Overwhelming. Adjusting to this has been almost impossible. Watching everything he has been through already has been devastating.

It’s been a rough week to say the least. We’ve gone from always being with brothers to only seeing them for a total of 30 minutes. Having to tell an 8 year old and 5 year old that their baby brother has cancer was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. My poor boys. Lives flipped upside down. So many changes. No mom and dad at home. Crying over FaceTime begging us to come home. No answers. Nothing we can do to mend their broken hearts.

Although we know the toughest parts of this journey are still ahead of us, we are so proud of Lark for his strength and resilience he is already showing us. The strongest boy with the biggest smile and the best heart. Handing his arm over for pokes and pricks with no tears. Sleeping in a hospital bed instead of the bottom bunk with his brother right on top. Undergoing multiple procedures in such a short period of time, without even grasping what is actually going on. 105° fevers. Port placement and chemotherapy. All while talking about butt cheeks and farts.

I cannot believe this is our new reality. I cannot believe this is the update I’m sharing instead of his first day of school pictures. I cannot imagine what he is about to experience. I do know one thing though- the support that this little boy has is the one thing getting us through this. For all of the texts, calls, dinners, gift cards, toys, etc., we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We know he’s got this. We know how strong he is. If anyone can get through this, it’s him. Please pray for our boy and his brothers. He’s the bravest and toughest 4 year old out there ”
