Lara is a hard-working single mom who always puts her two beautiful children first. She juggles four jobs to make sure her family is cared for, but this summer, she faces a new challenge—Lara will undergo surgery that will keep her from working for a while. Lara was recently diagnosed with Appendiceal cancer with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP). This is a rare disease where a mucus-producing tumor in the appendix ruptures, spreading jelly-like cancer cells throughout the abdomen. This "jelly belly" accumulation causes abdominal swelling, pain, and pressure on organs. The treatment involves a specialized surgery which involves heated chemotherapy. As someone who is always there for others, and never asks for help...Lara now needs our help to get through this difficult time.

While Lara recovers, she won’t be able to earn the income she relies on to pay her mortgage, bills, tuition, and groceries. The financial burden is heavy, and we want to lift some of that weight off her shoulders so she can focus on healing and being there for her kids.
