Two weeks ago, our colleague and friend Lani Jones was hit by a drunk driver while on her way to pick up her granddaughter early in the morning. Thankfully, she survived the accident but suffered a broken leg and other injuries. We are immensely grateful she is still with us.

Unfortunately, Lani has encountered further distress. The driver at fault was not covered under their insurance policy, and their insurance company is refusing to accept responsibility. Lani has exhausted her uninsured motorist coverage and is now facing cost of replacing her vehicle in addition to medical expenses.

Lani is a single household breadwinner, making this financial burden even more stressful. As those who know Lani will attest, she is is not only incredibly hardworking but also a selfless and supportive colleague.
