Support La'Nijah's Journey to a Pain-Free Life

Help My Daughter La'Nijah Fight Sickle Cell Disease
My beautiful 16-year-old daughter needs a village right now. La'Nijah has been fighting Sickle Cell Disease her entire life, and she is a true warrior. She's faced vaso-occlusive crises, silent strokes, acute chest syndrome, and more complications than any teenager should ever have to endure. But she keeps fighting, and I keep fighting with her. Her doctors have been clear—she needs a stem cell transplant. We have been blessed enough to have been selected for the cure for Sickle Cell Disease. However, this process is intensive and will make her sicker before she gets better. It's her only shot for a cure. The transplant is scheduled for August or September 2025.

As her mother, there will be extended periods of time during the 4-6 months immediately following the transplant where I won't be able to work due to her round-the-clock medical treatments, monitoring, and care due to her compromised immune system. I need financial support to make this happen for La'Nijah. There are medical expenses, out-of-pocket costs, and all the daily needs that come with intensive medical care. Every dollar contributed goes directly to medical expenses not covered by insurance, my loss of income while I provide care, and essential supplies for home recovery. La'Nijah isn't just fighting a disease—she is fighting for her future. She deserves the chance to live without pain, without constant hospital visits/stays, without fear, and the hard realities that come with Sickle Cell Disease.

How You Can Help: Whether you can contribute $5 or $500, every bit matters. Share this with your networks, and keep La'Nijah in your prayers. This isn't just about money—it's about community. It's about wrapping our arms around her, who has shown incredible resilience, and saying, "we've got you." La'Nijah's transplant represents hope. Hope for a life without constant pain. Hope for a future where Sickle Cell Disease does not define her limits.

Thank you for considering a donation to support La'Nijah's journey to healing. Updates will be shared as we move through this process.
