Hello, my name is Lani. I’m a proud mother, a passionate advocate for justice, and someone who has spent her life fighting for others. Today, I find myself in a place I never imagined—having to ask for help for me and my son as we fight to break free from an unsafe, toxic living situation.

For too long, we have been trapped in a household marked by emotional abuse, control, and instability. Despite my best efforts to create a safe and loving environment for my son—who is autistic, brilliant, and full of light—we are both being suffocated by the harm and hostility of this environment. I’ve faced being locked out of my own home, threats to my safety, and constant emotional degradation.

I’ve spent the last few months searching tirelessly for work while raising my son and managing the weight of our situation. I’ve applied to countless jobs but remain without stable income. Despite the hardship, I’ve continued to advocate, create, and hold onto hope. But we can’t do this alone anymore.

I’m raising funds to help us:

    •    Secure safe and stable housing

    •    Cover basic necessities like food, clothing, and transportation

    •    Provide care and resources for my son’s special needs
