Support for Baby Lane and the Soulier Family

I'm humbly reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Molly Soulier, and her family. Molly and Ryan welcomed their beautiful baby boy, Lane, on March 18th, and while there’s so much joy, their journey has come with unexpected challenges.

First and foremost, we are incredibly grateful that Lane is making progress and moving in the right direction — that is the most important thing. But the road has been anything but easy.

Soon after bringing Lane home, Molly noticed something concerning: Lane’s ankle was red and swollen and his leg was not moving much at all. After advocating for answers, the family learned that Lane had developed an aggressive bone infection in his ankle. On April 5th, he was transferred from Modesto Kaiser to Roseville Kaiser, two hours away, for treatment.

Since then, baby Lane has undergone three surgeries and is now receiving IV antibiotics in the hospital. Once home, he’ll continue on antibiotics for 4–6 weeks, requiring close care.

Understandably, this has created not only emotional strain but financial pressure as well. Between hotel stays, meals, gas for trips back and forth to keep things normal for the other kids, and planning for Lane’s at-home recovery — the expenses are adding up quickly. Molly is unable to work during this time and does not qualify for FMLA at her current job and is expected back in two weeks, adding even more uncertainty to the family's situation.

We’re asking for short-term support to help the Soulier family stay afloat while they focus on Lane’s healing. Every contribution — no matter the size — will help lighten the load. If you’re unable to give financially, your prayers and well-wishes mean the world to them. They truly believe in the power of prayer, especially when they hold their sweet boy and see how strong he is.
