At just 2 weeks old Landry was diagnosed with congenital Hyperinsulinism (GCK mutation). After two failed medication attempts with diazoxide both resulting in intubation Landry was transferred to children’s hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to start treatment with one of the only two Hyperinsulinism teams in the country. After yet another failed medication attempt with octreotide we are finally planning for surgery. On December 24th 2025 Landry will have a near total pancreatectomy (98% removed) and have a gtube placed. Since we are a one income family Cody has been back at home in Alabama working and coming up for short spontaneous trips here and there. Cody will be coming up to PA when Landry has surgery and staying for a little longer than his usual trips to be here with us. However, if he is not working then he is not getting paid. With the holidays right around the corner and such a stressful scary procedure ahead of us we would be so grateful to be able to spend this time together with no added financial stress.
