Support Lando's Recovery Journey

Family and Friends,

I am reaching out for help during this difficult time for my family. As many of you may already know on January 26th, 2025, my brother Lando was involved in a Can Am accident that left him with a traumatic brain injury. He was taken to RRH where the amazing staff at Liberty Ambulance and the ER doctors stabilized him for transport to Loma Linda Children's Hospital. For several days he spent his time in ICU sedated and closely monitored for his injuries as the doctors worked to find out the extent of his injuries and a plan for his healing. Lando was diagnosed at this time with TBI that included multiple skull fractures, brain bleeds, C1 spine fracture, and a small clot in his brain near his sinuses.

He has since left ICU and has moved to the basic care floor where he is continuing to focus on healing and learning to use the right side of his body again. We are currently awaiting transfer to an impatient rehab facility where he will spend his days learning to re-walk, get his strength back, and continue to let his brain heal.

In just this small amount of time Lando has been making amazing progress, surprising the Dr's and nurses every day, but we know the road to recovery is going to be a long one. While we are grateful for the care he has received so far, medical bills are already coming in, and we know that the full extent of his expenses including impatient rehab, medical supplies for when he comes home, and follow up visits, has yet to unfold.
With this we are reaching out for help. Any donation big or small will go directly to helping cover his medical bills, traveling costs, lodging, and rehabilitation.

If you are unable to donate, we would love to hear from you in another way. If you have any photos or stories of time spent with Lando, sharing them so that he can see them would mean the world to us. The doctors and us believe these memories will not only help him feel connected to the people he cares about but also play an important part in his healing as he moves forward in recovery. You can send these to my mom by email or reach out to our family directly. I know the travel is some distance, but he is also allowed visitors for anyone who may want to come spend the day or even a few hours.

Our family is super blessed and incredibly grateful for the prayers, love, and outreach of support we have received over the last week. It has brought us comfort and strength in such a difficult time, and we can't thank everyone enough for keeping us in their thoughts.

Thank you again
