Support Landon's Medical Journey

Landon is a senior at Cedar Park High School who became severely ill on September 2. Since that day, he hasn't been able to attend school, and his family has been searching desperately for answers about what is causing his illness.

What We're Facing

Landon has been experiencing:

Extreme fatigue

Persistent low-grade fevers

Severe abdominal pain on his left side

Unexplained weight loss of over 30 pounds

Decreased function in the left ventricle of his heart (which doctors believe is a result of his illness, not the cause)

The Search for Answers

In the past two months, Landon has:

Attended over 26 doctor appointments

Been hospitalized for a week for monitoring

Seen multiple specialists, including infectious disease, cardiology, gastroenterology, and oncology

Undergone extensive testing, including MRIs, CT scans, a bone marrow biopsy, two echocardiograms, numerous x-rays, and countless lab tests

Despite this exhaustive medical investigation, doctors have not yet been able to determine the cause of his symptoms. They have ruled out infectious disease and leukemia, which is encouraging, but we continue to have follow-up appointments with oncology and gastroenterology as they work to find answers.

The mounting medical bills, ongoing specialist visits, testing costs, and the financial strain of caring for Landon have created an overwhelming burden for his mom, who, with her own medical issues, is unable to work at this time.
