Hi, my names Lana, I’m a 12 year old Sharpei x Rottweiler x Staffy. I love humans, walks and food! Oh and also I love to speak and follow my humans everywhere.

Whilst my daddy was away in Perth performing in Fringe World, I had a sudden onset of lethargy, lost the proper function of my back legs and stopped eating. After being taken to the vet and having an emergency ultrasound, the vets discovered I have a large tumour on my spleen.

When daddy got home he immediately took me to the vet to see what options we had. We decided to go with a CT scan to see if the tumour had spread. If it had not spread we were looking at surgery.

Today I had my CT scan and the vet said that the tumour hadn’t obviously spread and recommended surgery to remove the tumour. So I’m currently having surgery to have my spleen removed.

Dad has been hit really hard lately and needs some financial support to pay for my surgery and ongoing treatment.

I’ve been Dads biggest support for the last 10 years & I know he’s not one to ask for help often. But I know he really needs support in this space right now - and I know he would do whatever it takes to support me and my health.

My treatment breakdown:

Emergency ultrasound & vet visits - $500

CT scan - $1500

Splenectomy - $4000

Tumour assessment - $500

Ongoing care/medication/follow up - $500

Total - $7000
