Tuesday, December 2nd!
LaMont is finally going to get to come home to Alaska! We went to Seattle for his Kidney transplant on May 1st. Alaskan transplant patients are expected to stay in the Seattle area for at least six weeks. LaMont has had so many ups and downs. That six weeks is now seven months! It has been very challenging, and I’m so proud of his perseverance during this long journey. Thank you so much to everyone that has donated! We really appreciate the support in helping to cover the expenses of this unexpected, excessively long stay in Seattle and Virginia Mason Medical Center. I want to express a huge thanks to LaMont’s awesome mom, Elaine. She took over as caregiver in August when I had to return to Palmer for the start of the school year. She supported LaMont’s recovery for over three months until she had to return home. At that point my amazing parents, Colleen and Leo, stepped in as caregivers for this past month. Thank you to everyone for all the love. I’m so excited to get LaMont home on Tuesday, so that he can continue to build his strength. We have so many more adventures ahead of us!
