Support Lamar's Fight Against Kidney Failure

Donation protected
Lamar Williams, a much-loved friend and colleague employed by the College of Charleston Department of Public Safety, has been quietly battling kidney failure since 2022. He has had both kidneys removed and is currently awaiting a donor match. The team of doctors at MUSC are hopeful that he will be ready to receive a kidney in the early summer of 2025 if a suitable match can be found.

A lifelong resident of West Ashley, Lamar is a devout member of his church at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston. This kind and humble man has tirelessly served as a law enforcement officer, both private and state, for 26 years and needs the help of his community.

Supported by his amazing wife, Moneke (also a police officer at the College of Charleston Department of Public Safety), and their teenage children, Lamar is currently enduring nightly dialysis. He has missed work due to surgeries and medical appointments. Any donations would be gratefully received as expenses mount. Prayers for the family would also be appreciated as they go through this challenging time in their lives.
