Support Lalo Puente's fight against Stage 4 PancreaticCancer

My name is Miranda Ramirez Puente and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my father in law Avelardo "Lalo" Puente and family.

With heavy hearts and unwavering hope, we share the news that just 5 months ago, Lalo received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 4 metastatic Pancreatic Cancer. He immediately began his aggressive treatment plan with the dedicated team at Texas Oncology, San Antonio. His first chemotherapy session took place in November of 2024, marking the beginning of what will be a long and challenging journey.

Since his diagnosis, Lalo has endured several hospitalizations due to the severity of symptoms associated with his illness & the life threatening side effects of his treatment regimen.

Despite enduring 13 rounds of grueling chemotherapy, Lalo's cancer has aggressively metastasized to his lungs, chest, and abdomen. He was forced to stop working in February 2025.

Though this has been the most difficult hardship the family has faced, through our faith, we have been managing to the best of our ability. Lalo's wife Lupe, has not left his side. His wife, daughter Laura, son Luis and family, and siblings have all remained a reliable and steadfast source of love, strength, and support through this trying time.

Through it all, Lalo has remained the same strong, kind, and resilient man that we all know and love.

He is a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who has touched many lives with his kindness, humor, and selflessness. Now, as he embarks on the fight of his life, we are rallying behind him to provide the support he needs to focus on healing.

Cancer treatment is not only physically and emotionally demanding, but it is also financially overwhelming. The cost of chemotherapy, medications, scans, and other associated expenses quickly adds up, creating a significant burden on Lalo and his family.

We are asking for your support, both emotionally and financially, during this difficult time. Any contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a tangible difference in easing the burden of medical expenses for my father in law. Your generous donations will go directly towards medical bills, treatments, necessary medical equipment, and other related costs.
