Support Lalayne Harwood's Battle with Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Dear Friends and Community,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share the challenging journey my family is facing. In December, my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. Despite the gravity of her condition, she and my dad decided to visit us in the Northwest, just as they have enjoyed doing over the past few summers. Unfortunately, her condition has worsened, and we’ve had to transition to hospice care.

Though we are grateful that hospice is available and comes to them in their RV—allowing them to stay right next to our home—the financial burden of this situation has become overwhelming. The hospice team has been incredible, but there are still significant costs that aren’t covered, including natural pain medications, other essential medications, and everyday living expenses.

We are also trying to bring family out here to spend precious time with mom, which adds to the financial strain. With these mounting expenses, we are turning to our extended community for support.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a tremendous difference and bring us immense relief during this difficult time. We are deeply thankful for your generosity and support as we navigate this challenging chapter.
