Today, we come to you with hopeful spirits as we rally around someone incredibly special person Lakesha Wimbley. If you know Lakesha, you know her heart has always been her greatest gift. She has spent her entire life pouring love, strength, and compassion into others. She has fed families, supported students, uplifted friends, and spread joy everywhere she goes.

But now, the very heart that has carried so many is in need of healing.

Lakesha is preparing for a life-saving heart transplant, and the journey ahead is uncertain, overwhelming, and deeply emotional. For the next 12 months or more, she will be unable to work her full-time job or continue her beloved catering business. This means she will face significant medical, financial, and daily living challenges while she fights for her life and recovery.

Lakesha has always been the one to show up—for everyone.
