Needing help with medical costs after being hospitalized! While volunteering, Lake sustained a back injury that later became severe. She tried resting for a few weeks, thinking it was just a pulled muscle. During this time, she developed a kidney infection that progressed into the early stages of sepsis, making the pain unbearable. After going to the hospital for treatment, things only got worse. Although the kidney infection had been treated, the back pain hadn't gone away and was starting to spread to Lake's legs. After going back to the hospital for an MRI, we found out that she had two herniated discs in her back, one of them having been broken. With how bad the broken disc had gotten, an emergency surgery was imminent.
