This is our daughter, Laken Burkeen. She was diagnosed with epithelioid mesothelioma cancer back in May. She is a nurse, and she hasn't been able to work since May. This type of cancer is extremely rare; they don't know a lot about it. She went through a ten-hour surgery with four different specialists where they gave her chemo, and now she is going through chemotherapy. She isn't able to work, and she could really use all of the help she can get until she is able to return to work.
