Help Keep Aurora Oaks Safe, Warm, and Open
At Lake City Partners in Shoreline, Washington, we provide more than just a roof—we offer safety, warmth, and dignity to our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Every night, people come through our doors seeking refuge and a pathway toward stable housing. In 2025 alone, Aurora Oaks served 242 individuals and helped 124 people move into permanent supportive housing. With 65 beds, our shelter is a critical hub in our King County community.
While our impactful shelter program is 5 years old, our aging building—constructed in 1953—is putting that mission at risk.
Already, your donations are making an immediate impact: because of supporters like you, the leaking roof at Aurora Oaks has now been repaired.
Now, we are working to complete the remaining urgent repairs before the campaign closes on May 30, including:
- Restoring reliable furnace heat to rooms that can become dangerously cold in winter
- Replacing a failing water heater before it breaks completely
These aren’t upgrades—they are essentials. No one should have to sleep in the cold or worry about losing access to safe shelter while working to rebuild their life.
A generous donor has also stepped forward with a $15,000 Challenge Match, helping maximize every donation made during the final stretch of the campaign.
Every dollar makes a difference:
$100 helps support critical building repairs
$300 helps restore safe, reliable heat
$500 helps replace essential water system components
$1,000 helps sustain safe shelter operations for vulnerable community members
100% of donations to the Aurora Oaks Birthday Campaign go directly toward these critical repairs. All work is completed by licensed professionals, and updates will be shared with donors so you can see your impact. In the event we go over our goal, all funds will be used for building repairs and replacements at Aurora Oaks.
