On July 4th, our family experienced a life-changing event that no family should ever have to endure. Lakaiya and her children, along with her sister and nieces were involved in a devastating crash caused by an impaired driver in the Ogden area.

What should have been a holiday spent making memories quickly turned into a nightmare. In an instant, their lives were forever changed. They are now facing physical injuries, emotional trauma, medical treatments, missed work, and the overwhelming uncertainty that follows a serious accident.

As a mother and grandmother, it is heartbreaking to watch Lakaiya and my grandchildren navigate the pain and challenges ahead. While we are grateful they are still with us, the road to recovery will be long. We are raising funds to help with medical expenses and ongoing treatment and appointments, lost wages during recovery, childcare and family support needs, counseling and emotional support services, and other unexpected expenses resulting from the crash.

Any amount will help Lakaiya access daily necessities for her children as they recover. And she recovers from the accident as well.
