Support Lafond’s Lawns: Hit by a Drunk Driver
Donation protected
On April 19, 2025, my fiancé, Spencer Lafond, was rear-ended while stopped at a red light at the intersection of Browning Street and Canby Road in Redding, California. Spencer was in his work truck, towing a trailer filled with all of his landscaping equipment for his small business. The driver who hit him was highly intoxicated and fleeing from an earlier disturbing incident at the Mt. Shasta Mall, where he had reportedly been attempting to traffic minors.
The impact of the crash caused devastating damage. Spencer’s truck and trailer are now completely unusable, and most of the equipment he relies on daily to support our family was destroyed. He’s now unable to work, facing a serious financial setback from lost income, costly equipment replacements, and the loss of his work vehicles.
Despite the severity of the crash and the circumstances surrounding it, the drunk driver has already been released on his own recognizance.
Spencer works incredibly hard every single day and has built his landscaping business, Lafond’s Lawns, from the ground up. Over the past three years, he’s dedicated himself fully to growing his business and providing quality service to his loyal clientele. This situation hasn’t just affected him physically and emotionally, it threatens the future of everything he’s worked so hard to build.
