Support LaFHAC Employees Facing Layoffs
Donation protected
On May 23, 2025, three dedicated employees at the Louisiana Fair Housing Action Center will face their final day on the job—not because of performance, but due to the devastating federal funding cuts to Fair Housing programs nationwide.
Organizations like ours, which have been on the front line for equal housing access for decades, are now struggling to keep the lights on. In our small corner of the world in this national crisis, we are wrapping our arms together and requesting out community come alongside of us in this moment of unfortunate urgency.
The layoffs came without severance. One of the impacted staffers has spent years advocating for tenants and families facing housing discrimination—serving the community consistently. Now, some of us are clearing out our desks for good.
We are parents. We are students. We are community advocates who believe in the power of justice and human dignity. Your contribution of $1, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 or whatever amount will go a long way. Please consider making a financial contribution to show your support as we and so many others face abrupt uncertainty.
With deepest thanks and hope,
