Support Lafayette After Tragic Accident
Donation protected
Our close friend, Lafayette was involved in a tragic motorcycle accident on August 4th. Due to merging traffic, Lafayette shifted to the right of the lane, losing control when his front tire crossed the yellow line. This caused him to be thrown into I-270 traffic, where witnesses reported him getting run over by a passing vehicle. We are thankful for those who stopped, especially the doctor who assisted on scene, ultimately saving his life.
Lafayette is an avid rider, placing safety first by always wearing full safety gear. Lafayette is a veteran of the Army, serving as a medic during Desert Storm. He is also a husband, father, and grandfather. Lafayette’s wife, Stacy, has taken as much time away from work as allowed, traveling over an hour each way for the past month to be by his side.
Finances are weighing heavy on the hearts and minds of Lafayette and his family. As a CDL driver, he is the main provider for his household. Unfortunately, Lafayette does not qualify for short-term disability. They have also run into many issues with insurance not wanting to cover rehabilitation and medical equipment. It will take 6-8 months of healing before he will be eligible for prosthetics.
The goal of this fundraiser is to help with medical bills and equipment as well as loss of income. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact in Lafayette’s recovery. We are grateful for any assistance you can provide as we continue to keep Lafayette and his family in our hearts and prayers.
