Asking for help is hard but not doing anything isn’t an option.

All we have is our little corner of the world and right now mine is in jeopardy of losing my sweet pup Lady and a huge provider of light in my life.

This past week we found out that Lady has a mass on her spleen. Doctors say in order to diagnosis it as cancer or benign, surgery is recommended. The alternative is that it could potentially rupture, causing excruciating pain and requiring immediate life saving surgery. We have decided to do a splenectomy and have her spleen removed. A surgery of this proportion can range from 3,500-4,500 not including blood work and other potential necessities in post op or pre op.

Lady has been my sidekick for 11 going on 12 years now. She’s the best dog, at least that’s what my mom thinks even though I did hide them from her when I first got her. . She’s been by my side through lots of moves from San Diego to Santa Cruz then back to SD, then to LA, then back to SD. She’s hiked with wolf dogs and would love the opportunity to get back to her happy place; the ocean.

I know everyone is dealing with their own struggles and hardships. Anything you can give would be deeply appreciated. We are planning on having her surgery done next week. Updates to follow.
