UPDATE: 5/22
Lady Olenna made it through her first week with flying colors until the end.
Her first few days she was still very much feeling her sedatives and her residual surgery medication thankfully she was able to sleep for most of it. Her eating was sporadic at best, but every now and then she would find her appetite. We started with treats the first couple of days, progress to boiled rice, chicken and steak, now we're back to filet mignon canned, meal of champions, mmm nom nom nom.
We got a little too trusting of her and allowed taking off her orange (donut) to eat and we apparently walked away for a moment and she licked her incision separating a portion of the stitches from her flesh. We put our tail between our legs and made a dramatic vet call at 9pm. We were reassured shes fine but she absolutely can not take off her donut. We pushed our luck, but thankfully it was not worse and lesson was definitely learned!
Her incision is healing amazingly other than her minor set back. Now we just have to keep her contained, apparently she jumped off the couch last night which she is absolutely not supposed to do. I'm relieved to see she is feeling better, but now we just need to be smarter than a dog for one more week, for she will absolutely be her own worst enemy.
I want to thank everybody so much for your on going and continuing support, I can't tell you how much it means to us and Olenna.

5/16/24 update
Lady Olenna made it through her first full day after surgery. She was not having a good time as her surgery medication has started wearing off and reality is setting in. We have been trying to give her bathroom breaks every 45 mins but to no avail, shes unable to put any pressure on her leg for now. However on a positive note she did finally pee the bed around 7pm, ive never been so happy to have my dog piss on my couch!
Giving her, her pain medication had proven to be an interesting endeavor. As she wont eat much, we cant rely on her normal food to please her appetite. Thank the gods for pill grinders, peanut butter and whipped cream (very small amounts), only things that saved us. Still not much food, but she drinking like a sailor outta water although we've got the puppy pads ready this time.

Our sweet, Lady Olenna is barely 5 years old. We have had her since she was 6 weeks old and she is absolutely the light of our lives and she is the best good girl.
She started limping a couple of months ago, we waited a week or so to see if it got better, unfortunately, it did not. We took her to the vet as soon as possible and she was misdiagnosed with hip dysplasia and arthritis. That diagnosis really did not sit well with me, but I thought, "Who was I to argue with the vet?" We just tried to make her as comfortable as possible and provide her with as much nutrition and exercise as we could.
We took her back to the vet a month later where she was properly diagnosed with a total tear ACL. We scheduled her for surgery as quickly as possible which regrettably wasn't immediate, so we had to wait a few weeks while we prepared the best we could.
We dropped her off for surgery this morning, May 14th and was advised both ACLs in her hind legs are completely torn, the left one now adding to the problem likely from her overcompensating with her other leg. Our expected $3,000 bill went up to over $9,000 in the matter of 30 seconds.
We are in dire need of help to cover her bill, we simply just don't have it. Thank you so much! We appreciate every one of you, and anything helps!!
We want to be completely transparent with everyone so know your money is actually being used as promised. Here is the bill for her first surgery, which needs to be paid in full before we schedule her left leg. We are hoping to schedule her for her in 6 weeks after she has had some time to heal from her current surgery.
