Hi, I’m Kelly, Lacy’s daughter. On Thursday morning, October 2nd, my mom Lacy Landers was in a devastating car accident that left her with multiple serious injuries. She broke both of her femurs, her collar bone, a finger, several ribs, and suffered a bruised lung. Since the accident, Lacy has been in the hospital and will be in a wheelchair for some time as she begins the long road to recovery.
Lacy is the heart of our family—bright, funny, and caring. She loves spending time with her grandbabies, cooking, cleaning, and making everyone around her feel special. Lacy is originally from Brookings, Oregon, but now we are looking for a home for her in Eugene so she can be close to me, her daughter, so she will have loved ones close by during her recovery. This accident has changed everything for us. Lacy won’t be able to work for a while, and she’ll need extensive rehabilitation, in-home care, and physical therapy. We’re also facing mounting medical bills, prescription costs, and the challenge of paying for housing and daily expenses. Transportation for her appointments and mental health therapy are also critical as she heals.
Lacy’s greatest hope is to recover and be close to her family, especially her grandbabies. Any help you can give will go directly toward her care, recovery, and helping her regain her independence. Thank you for supporting Lacy and our family during this difficult time.
