Doug Thomas Memorial Fund

At 10:30 Wednesday night, Lacy and I received a call no one wants to receive, from a state trooper and a caregiver having to give news that no one wants to deliver: That Doug Thomas Sr., father to Lacy Thomas and her brother DJ, had passed away.

Doug's passing caught everyone by surprise, and we are still analyzing his financial records, but it appears that Doug died with a mountain of debt and no final preparations. Due to the rocky relationship Doug had with his children, neither had any information on how bad his situation had truly gotten.

While no one in the family ever wanted to ask, several people have reached out inquiring about a GoFundMe. Anything helps, and any funds raised will go directly to

pay for Doug's cremation costs.
