This fundraiser is for my amazing mama, Lacresha (aka Missy).

About two months ago, she was suddenly hospitalized. She spent 22 days in the hospital — 8 of those on life support and most of the rest in the ICU. During that time, she suffered two strokes, a heart attack, and developed blood clots in her lungs and legs. The clots in her lungs are still there and will take time to resolve. The strokes caused significant damage, leaving her unable to move her entire left leg.

She doesn’t have health insurance, so the medical bills are quickly adding up. On top of that, she’s unable to work. As the owner of her own small business — The Cleaning Fairy — she has no current income and is now facing the risk of eviction. Many of her clients have had to move on since she can’t work right now.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a huge difference. Our top priority at the moment is covering rent and essential bills. If you know my mom, you know she’s the kind of person who would give you the shirt off her back without hesitation. Now it's our turn to give back to her.
