On the night of Dec 8, 2025, our lives changed in an instant. While walking home, Lacey was struck by a drunk driver in a severe hit and run accident. The driver fled the scene, leaving her critically injured and fighting for her life.

For those who know Lacey, you know she is a bright light in this world. At just 20 years old, she is the definition of hardworking and responsible. She is currently a dedicated psychology major, balancing her studies with a part-time job to support herself. She does everything "right" by the books—she works hard, she cares about her future, and she is always there for her friends. She didn't deserve this. Lacey’s life will now be put on pause. She is unable to work or attend classes, and the medical bills are already mounting on top of her student debt.

The impact of the accident has resulted in severe injuries, including 4 broken ribs, a fractured skull, a punctured lung, and internal bleeding. She is currently in the ICU being prepped for emergency surgery, which will be followed by a long, painful road to recovery.
