Dear friends, family, and compassionate strangers,

As many of you may know, Lacey Lumsden is a daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many unfortunately Lacey has been facing one of the toughest battles of her life—she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the next little while Lacey will be having surgery within the next couple weeks followed by radiation and possibly chemo but were not sure yet. Over the years, Lacey has been the person we all turn to when we need help, support, or a good laugh. What you may not know is that Lacey is the type of person who never asks for help, even when she needs it most. She’s fiercely independent and has always prided herself on being there for others. But now, she needs us. This is our opportunity to come together as a community and show her the same love and support she has so freely given us over the years. The financial burden of cancer treatment can be overwhelming, and while we can’t cure her, we can make this journey a little easier by relieving some of the stress of daily bills, hospital parking, food and daily expenses as she focuses on healing and recovery. Lacey would never ask for a handout, but we know that this is a time when every bit of help counts.
