Support Labreya Street's Family through Tragedy

Dear friends and family,

I am raising funds to help create some relief for the family of one of my best friends (much more of a sister to me) Labreya Street. Her life was taken on June 21, 2025 as a result of gun violence. Unfortunately, Breya’s son (Jaylen) bore witness to this tragedy.

The funds raised here will be divided into these categories:

1) To pay for remaining funeral expenses.

2) To create a savings account for Jaylen which will be accessible to him when he becomes an adult (this is intended to help him financially as he comes of age by contributing to education, housing, and/or transportation.) I know Breya would have wanted to build this account for Jaylen herself and because she is no longer able to do so… it can be something that we (her village) can do for them! 

3) To assist with certain expenses so that family members may have time to heal and process the recent events and to buy time for family members to find their own support and grief counseling / guidance.

4) A fun night out for Jaylen and his cousins (Breya’s nieces and nephews) to give them some time together which will serve to take their minds off of the recent events. The kids have been through much stress in losing their mother/aunt. I want for us to give them a chance to have some fun! Having structured fun time with one another while they are still young will increase their odds of creating good character qualities, family bonding, and a safer life for them as they grow into adulthood because they will be more likely to create their own healthy community amongst themselves.
