Support Laarnie’s Family After the Flood

Laarnie Linggayo is a single mom who has worked with Keller Swan for approximately a year. She lives with her son, her parents, her brothers, and her niece. She’s the breadwinner of the family, and the house they’re living in now is something she managed to build through her salary from Keller Swan.

In November, they noticed water starting to pool around the house—and the typhoon hadn’t even reached their area yet. The ocean waves were getting louder, so they rushed outside under the pouring rain and strong winds to load everything they could into their van. They managed to save their food supply, their phones, and a few pairs of clothes. They took shelter at the nearest church, where they camped for the night and slept on the long wooden chairs. Because they were all drenched during their escape from the flood, everyone eventually got sick. The typhoon lasted for about 12 hours.

When they returned to check on their home, the old house was already wrecked because the sea wall had been pushed and destroyed by the waves. Their new house was submerged, and their belongings were scattered everywhere. When the water finally subsided the next day, they searched for anything they could salvage from the mud. All the boats had been washed into their backyard, and one of them even broke a window. The waves destroyed their doors and soaked everything they owned that was left behind. They used the felled trees as firewood and spent days washing everything she found.

If you would like to help Laarnie rebuild her family's life, please use this fundraiser to assist. All funds raised will go to Laarnie.
