Hello! It is once again the most important day of the year, December 17th, or when I blessed the world with my presence. Speaking of presents, in lieu of any gifts, I am asking you to donate to La Raza Centro Legal to help support efforts to provide legal services for SF residents facing deportation. I find this cause especially important under this administration's unfair and inhumane treatment of undocumented migrants.
I will match 100% for every dollar donated so please rack up the bill!!
La Raza Centro Legal-San Francisco
La Raza Centro Legal was founded in 1973 to provide free legal services to low-income residents of the Bay Area. Our core programs focus on immigration legal services including both affirmative applications for benefits and deportation defense, workers' rights, and legal services for elders and people with disabilities. We are rooted in the historic Mission District and were the original movement lawyers who developed community lawyering models in the 1970s. LRCL also serves as a pipeline for diversifying the legal field and elevating the leadership of the next generations of legal professionals that represent the communities most impacted by historical harms such as racism in policy & law. LRCL programs are developed with community, based on community needs, & accountable to community.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to me.
