Support La Familia Senior Community Center

Hi, I’m Carla Lee, and I’m reaching out to support La Familia Senior Community Center in Wichita. La Familia Senior Community Center has over 700 Wichita senior members, serving those who come each year. La Familia offers contracted free meals, health education classes, activities, special events and services and a safe space built on county, community support, and individual donations.

In June and early July the city building was stripped of all its air conditioning units forcing us to shut down as indoor temperatures soared past 91 degrees even with temporary measures. Many individuals and their families are now left scrambling for care.

We urgently need to replace three AC units to fully reopen and keep our elders safe and cool.

Your donation will go directly toward restoring our facilityequipment, adding security features, and helping us continue serving our seniors with dignity and care.
