Support LA Dream Elite's South Africa Trip

Hello, my name is Kenyatta Sands, aka Coach Sands of the LA Dream Elite. I created LA Dream Elite to help young aspiring basketball players seeking to build their life beyond high school. I sign them up for ProAm leagues to enhance their skills and exposure to better their opportunities in college and pro sports. I’m reaching out to ask for your support in funding an incredible journey for our basketball team — a group of 10 talented young players in their early twenties, plus our dedicated coaching and support staff, totaling 15 people. We have a unique opportunity to travel to South Africa, visiting Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town, to play friendly games with local teams across each province.

This trip is about more than just basketball. It’s a chance for us to connect, learn, and grow by sharing experiences with South African players and immersing ourselves in their rich culture. Through the universal languages of sports and entertainment, we hope to build meaningful relationships between African Americans and South Africans, fostering unity and mutual respect.

What we need your help with:

Round-trip plane tickets for all 15 team members, averaging $4,000 each

Accommodation and hotel stays during the trip

Local transportation within South Africa

Meals and daily expenses

Opportunities to explore and experience South African culture and tourism
