My name is Ky Copsy. I am a Junior at Mazama High School who is currently on the honors track. I am going to London for creative writing from July 10th to the 30th.

I first found out about this program from my German teacher. When she told me about the details, I was immediately hooked. This would be my first time travelling abroad, something I’ve been wanting to do for some time. It’s not often kids my age have this opportunity, and there was no way I was going to waste it.

One of my greatest passions in life is to make a show that can connect with many people. My story has been in the works for around five-six years. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the literary world and how to make my story stand out.

The essay I submitted resulted in a $5,145 scholarship. Without it, I wouldn’t have been able to make this trip possible. With the money from my paid internship, I managed to pay off the rest of my tuition as well as my passport.

Even though everything important is paid for, I still need money for my time in London. After all, I want to make my trip worthwhile. I currently have a job at a slushie stand, but my hours and days are sporadic. Every little bit helps support my trip.

I want to thank all of the people who have donated so far. The transfers are still on hold, but rest assured I am trying to figure things out. My trip is less than two months away and I'm excited. I'm checking in with Dominoes tomorrow to see if they're willing to hire me. Fingers crossed.

Sorry it took a while. Finals have been hectic. I got everything figured out with gofundme, so the transfers have been made. Thank you so much for your guy's donations. Once school is out, it's time to prepare for the trip and research more about London.

I apologize for the inactivity. Things got hectic around here as we prepared for the trip. I am leaving really soon to catch my flight and should be in London by the 10th. Thank you all so much for your support. I'll keep you updated.

I apologize for the inactivity. Things have been crazy over here in London. We had a heatwave on the first few days of arrival. Our accomodations have had some interesting incidents.

I wouldn't change any of it though. I'm now officially in London. And thanks to you guys, I have been able to do so many things I never thought possible.

Some of the highlights include: Westminster Abbey, seeing HadesTown live (now one of my favorite musicals), finding the best doughnuts I've had (That are unfortunately not in the US), recreating the Abbey Road Beatles cover, and so much more. I'll upload some pictures once I figure it out.
