Hello. My name is Kyrsten but a lot of you guys know me as Zhoní.

In July 2025 I moved here to South Florida with both my kitties to pursue my career as a professional body piercer. I was promised a job and offered housing. It was too good to pass up. The risk felt so low I had to take it. I never moved states before but I was down and I was (naively) trusting.

Fast forward to my move here. Unfortunately things just did not go as planned. It was actually kind of opposite. The person who claimed to have a job for me didn’t fall through with their offer. More and more time passed and still, no job.

Housing started becoming scary as the people I moved in with drank, heavily, and that’s kind of triggering for me as both my parents were alcoholics in the past (recovering and sober now thank god), so it just kept bringing me back to that time reminding me of the worst times in my life. One of those persons also being addicted to harder drugs. The amount of substance abuse involved was never communicated to me and I promise if I had known, I absolutely would not have moved here.

I kept myself in my room most of the time and just tried to stay positive, hoping that I didn’t move here for nothing. I applied for other jobs, tried to adjust, holding things together as best as I could. Without going into too much detail I experienced something traumatic thag ultimately forced me into leaving the living situation entirely. Everything is scary right now.

At this moment. I am not in a stable housing situation or really even a stable mental state either.

I am now trying to raise funds so i can sort out my living situation and have a stable place to live. Whether that means relocating to Georgia to live with my brother or making something work here in Florida.

I poured so much into making this work moving here, for my career, the experience and for a positive change in my life, and now Im left picking up the pieces.

Now if you know me or anything about me you know I am a very independent and driven person, I don’t like handouts and I prefer to be the one helping those in need.

But this move, in this short time, has definitely driven that part of me into the ground.

I just need support right now.

If you are able to contribute, share or send encouragement, it would genuinely mean the world to me. I just want to feel safe and grounded. I want to go home but I literally do not have one right now and that is a heartbreaking place to be.
