On Christmas morning, my best friend Kyra, her spouse Zachariah, and their daughter Marley-Mae were involved in a terrible car accident. Their car flipped, and while Zachariah and Marley-Mae thankfully escaped without serious injuries, Kyra took the brunt of the impact. She suffered a three-inch laceration on her head that required staples, and two fractured lumbar vertebrae in her lower back. Right now, Kyra is unable to walk or move much at all, and she faces a long road to recovery with 8-12 weeks of physical therapy ahead of her.
Because of her injuries, Kyra is unable to work and has no income during this difficult time. The financial strain on her family is immense, as they try to cover living expenses and any other needs that arise while Kyra focuses on healing.
Kyra has always been the kind of friend who would give you the shirt off her back, even if it meant she had to go without. She is always there for others when they need her most. Now, she needs a helping hand to maintain her family's financial security and to get through this challenging chapter. Any support you can offer will make a world of difference for Kyra, Zachariah, and Marley-Mae as they navigate the weeks ahead.
