My name is Kym and as much as I hate to sound like I’m begging, here I go. I’ve reached a point in my life where I’m getting older, and my health is declining and has started affecting my work. In the past week, I was essentially given the choice between being fired or taking unpaid medical leave until accommodations can be figured out around my problems. Unfortunately, that leaves me without any income for 4 to 6 weeks, but that doesn’t stop the bills from coming in, which is where y’all come in. Just straight up, I have applied for a number of assistance programs already to see where they go, and hopefully, that will help some as well. I’m not expecting this GoFundMe to pay for everything. I do also have to worry about the government getting its act together in order for some of those other things I applied for to be funded. Not exactly the best time for this sort of thing to happen.
