In October 2024, Kylie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and spent over a year undergoing aggressive inpatient chemotherapy. Early in her treatment, she became severely septic, resulting in a full month in the hospital before she was stable enough to return home.

She has since endured four major surgeries: removing a volleyball-sized tumor along with multiple hematomas, damaged muscle and bone (which had to be reconstructed with metal), repairing a sudden hip dislocation, removing a lung nodule, and most recently, treating an infection and removing a surprise tumor.

After finishing chemo the first time (with the help of Hayden she joyfully rang the bell and was declared cancer free! But the celebration was unfortunately short-lived. The unexpected tumor was confirmed to be osteosarcoma, and new nodules have now appeared on her lungs. She is restarting chemotherapy (thankfully as an outpatient this go around) so she can still be home with Dane and Hayden more.

Fighting cancer twice has taken a tremendous emotional and financial toll. Her mom, Judy, as well as her husband, Dane, have been by her side through surgeries, hospital stays, and recovery, and the ongoing treatment costs continue to grow. Asking for help isn’t easy, but support during this second battle would mean the world to Kylie, Dane, Hayden, and Judy - as well as the rest of her family and friends.
