Kyle Herrman is a close friend, co-worker, and family member who is facing serious, on-going medical challenges. In January 2023, he survived an aortic dissection only to have 5 more aneurysms grow. He now has a genetic marker identified that leads to weak aortic walls. The time has come to have 2 of those aneurysms repaired requiring open heart surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, on February 4th. As many of you know, his wife Rachel, has also been going through a series of surgeries and treatments for breast cancer in the last 4 months. As such, this news has been overwhelming for Kyle and his family, and the road ahead will require a lot of strength and support from those around him.
This medical procedure means not only facing significant medical bills, but also the added burden of travel and living expenses far from home. The costs are quickly adding up, and it’s a stressful time given they both have serious medical issues requiring treatment. Finances are an obstacle that they will not face alone!
Their friends are reaching out to our community to ask for help supporting the Herrman family during this difficult journey. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward covering their medical bills and travel expenses—there will be 3 trips to Cleveland over the next 3 months then yearly after that. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in helping Kyle and Rachel focus on his (and her) recovery, and getting back home to his loved ones. Thank you so much for your support.
