I’m creating this Go Fund Me on behalf of my brother, Kyle Ulrich. He has been struggling with severe stomach and intestinal pain. After many appointments and extensive testing, he was recently diagnosed with a rare retroperitoneal cyst on his small intestine.

In August, Kyle underwent a procedure to drain the cyst, but at his follow-up in October, it had already returned to its original size (approximately 6 cm by 5 cm). His doctors have now recommended surgical removal so that they can biopsy and confirm there is no cancer. So far, his medical care team has not been able to identify it with certainty.

Unfortunately, all of the specialists involved in Kyle’s care have been “out of network” by his insurance. This has left him with an extremely high out-of-network deductible. He will also be out of work for 4–6 weeks following surgery, without income, as he has already used his PTO/Sick Time for previous medical appointments and procedures.

As his big sister, it’s hard to see him go through this. If you’re able to contribute to this fundraiser, we would be deeply grateful. If you’re not in a position to donate, please consider sharing this page to help us reach others who may be able to help.
