Support Kyle's Journey to Recovery and Healing

This is extremely hard to write and something a parent hopes to never have to do.

Kyle was riding his bike home from his shift at work on Sunday night Sept 22nd and was struck by a car. He was taken to a trauma center and admitted into the ICU with a traumatic brain injury. Kyle has still not gained consciousness but was able to give Shawn a thumbs up when asked if Kyle could hear him. He has had multiple MRIs and CT scans, which show brain bleeds and swelling, which they are monitoring closely and trying to stabilize but it takes time. According to the neurosurgeon, Kyle is lucky to be alive.

Unfortunately, Kyle does not have insurance and is facing years of intensive rehabilitation and long-term care, which is why we are here.

I know that Kyle has touched many of your hearts throughout the years with his sense of humor, his gift of personal connection with everyone he meets, a great friend to all, and a sweet soul. We humbly ask if you have the means to contribute to Kyle's recovery, we would greatly appreciate any support you can give. I will be sending updates on his progress regularly so we can all cheer him on!
