Support Kyle's Fight Against Kidney Failure
Donation protected
9 years ago, our best friend Kyle was diagnosed with kidney failure. He was put on treatments to preserve kidney function, but has been rapidly deteriorating over the past year. Recently, Kyle was diagnosed with stage 4 (possibly stage 5) renal failure.
Kyle has never smoked or used drugs. In fact, the riskiest thing he's probably ever done in his life is roll for a saving throw with disadvantage while playing D&D. Kyle is also the proud father to his beautiful one year old daughter Evren, who he shares with his wife Nandi.
Earlier this year, Kyle defended his doctoral thesis and obtained his PhD in cellular and molecular biology from Drexel University and was due to begin his new position soon.
Kyle and Nandi are the kindest, most generous souls on this earth. They are the kind of friends that would give you the shirts off their backs. Not only are Nandi and Kyle incredibly giving, but they have been through tremendous grief and tragedy. After losing their infant son, Kiran Jude, in 2021, they still continue to persevere. They have always helped others, but hate to ask for help in return.
Kyle is currently hospitalized and is undergoing testing to find a kidney donor. Even with insurance, medical treatments involving organ transplants are extremely expensive. Kyle deserves more than anyone to be up and running around playing with his baby girl.
We are reaching out to our community in the hopes of relieving some of the financial stress on Kyle and Nandi as they navigate this difficult journey. No amount is too small, and even if you can't donate, sharing their story will help too!
