Hi everyone, my name is Alyce and I am a friend of the Westhoven family, but I actually consider us to be family, as many of us do.
I am doing this fundraiser on behalf of the family, with Tom’s permission. As you know, we recently just lost Kyle.
Losing his sister, Heather in 2022, then his mother Brenda in 2025, to turn around and lose Kyle in early 2026, it’s really a difficult thing to put into words. This family has been through the most painful last three years that anyone could imagine.
I am putting together this fundraiser so that those of us that loved Kyle can help with his end of life arrangements. Anyone I have spoken with has asked the same question, “what can I do to help?”
Tom is a husband and a father who has endured what nobody ever thinks they will encounter. Let’s all come together and help ease this part of the end of life arrangements so that he can breathe and have one less thing to be worried about. Now is the time for Kyle’s family to grieve, not stress about how they will cover the expense of another loss.
Please help if you’re able to, and share on your social media as well, since everybody knows the Westhovens and everyone will get the opportunity to see and help! When these things happen, we feel helpless, but we aren’t. We can be a part of actively taking part in doing something, and not just saying words. Each and every one of the Westhovens were helpers their entire life. Whenever anyone needed them, you didn’t even have to ask.
We all loved that big, sweet smile and bear hugs from Kyle. Let’s honor him by seeing to it that his final arrangements are made timely and earnestly. That’s what love is.
