Support KyLeigh's Fight with Lupus-Help her 2 wonderful kids

I am reaching out today with a heavy heart, but also with hope and determination seeking help for my daughter KyLeigh (24) and my two beautiful grandchildren, Kenzley (5), and Bryson (4). My name is Jen, and I am KyLeigh's mom. We have had wonderful lives filled with joy, laughter, happiness and now challenges. Recently we've been faced with a battle that we are struggling to fight daily.

KyLeigh was diagnosed with Lupus in September of 2021. This condition turned our lives upside down and in October 2023 doctors told us that the Lupus had put KyLeigh into kidney failure and she would now be on dialysis and need a new kidney. As a mother I have always tried to provide and protect and be there for all my children. This was something I couldn't do anything to help besides stay by KyLeigh's side. This illness has made it increasingly difficult for KyLeigh to do every day basic things once the kidney failed and she started dialysis in October 2023. Now by May of 2024 doctors are also telling us she is in heart failure, and her liver and gall bladder are also having issues. She has had 10 hospital stays since Christmas.

Adding complexity to the situation, my youngest grandchild KyLeigh's son Bryson is handicapped and blind. Caring for him requires special attention. He is in specialized care with therapy multiple times a week to teach him how to do basic life functions such as walk, talk, and even eating solid food. The additional appointments and dialysis make her schedule very busy and adds extra strain on her body and budget due to the traveling to school and appointments.

As her parents we have been trying to help her with the financial burden since she was put on disability and isn't able to work. At times it is overwhelming to her and us. The daily costs of living, and monthly expenses like rent, car payment, utilities, and home repairs keep adding up and some are now past due. I am doing everything in my power to stay strong for my daughter and her children, but I am reaching out to you today our extended community, humbly asking for your help.
