Hello family & friends, please let me introduce you to and ask for your support for our dear friend Kyle Frazier and his journey to recovery.
Kyle is a Buxton resident and a Bonny Eagle Grad. For the last few years, he has worked as an operator (heavy equipment) for Nelson Property Service and Construction. Kyle is anxious and motivated to return to work!
Kyle is very social and really enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and their families. We have been close friends to Kyle’s family for over 25 years and watched Kyle grow into a polite, respectful, fun-loving young man that always wants to help others.
On Wednesday Oct 2nd Kyle was injured in a motorcycle accident in Gorham. He was rushed to the MMC where he spent 23 days (12 of which were in the ICU). Incredibly, due to the excellent care he received and the many prayers and well wishes, he was released to the next step of his recovery.
Kyle is extremely fortunate that he did not receive long term physical disabilities, but he did obtain a Traumatic Brain Injury that will require long term extensive rehab in a facility and continued outpatient rehab. Kyle was placed in Pate Rehabilitation Brinlee Ranch in Anna, Texas where he is being assessed and will begin a program to recovery. Being away from home, friends, and family with his brain in this condition is very emotional for Kyle, so his family is trying to be there for him as much as possible.
Kyle does not have disability insurance or motorcycle insurance but is on his parent’s insurance policy which will cover a portion of his extensive hospital care and rehabilitation costs. The facility provides basic support for Kyle. There are significant out of pocket costs for medical bills, airfare, accommodations, transportation, food, etc.
Kyle's father Scott spent last week with him in Texas and his mother Krista is with him this week. His sisters Alexa and Lindsey are also planning to make trips to stay with Kyle individually as well in the coming weeks.
All of this is great, and the family is supporting Kyle, doing exactly what they should be.
However, as we all know medical insurance doesn't cover everything, airfare is very expensive and the facility only feeds & supports Kyle, so this is putting a tremendous financial & emotional strain on the Frazier family.
Kyle’s family and friends are committed to getting him back to 100%. For this reason, we are creating a fundraiser to assist him in reaching his goals and helping with the financial burden that they will experience to get him there.
Please join us in helping the Frazier family in Kyle's recovery and know that any help is so greatly appreciated.
