Update:
A paddle out service to honor Kyle’s life will be held on August 9th at 12:00 PM at Marina Park in Newport Beach.
Kyle’s family continues to face unexpected financial burdens in the wake of his passing. Any donations are still deeply needed and sincerely appreciated.
I know they are incredibly grateful to everyone who has already donated—your generosity means more than words can express. To those who are considering giving, thank you in advance for your kindness and support.
The outpouring of love and support for Kyle is a testament to how deeply he was loved and how many lives he touched.
My hope is that, together, we can bring some comfort and relief to Kyle’s loved ones during this unimaginably difficult time.
With the heaviest of hearts, we are devastated to share the passing of our dear friend and loved one, Kyle Fether.
Kyle passed away on May 22, 2025, leaving behind a family and community who loved him deeply and are heartbroken by his loss.
Kyle was a loving son, a cherished brother, a proud uncle, a gifted musician, and a true friend to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was the drummer for the band The Jetties, where his passion for music and incredible talent brought energy and joy to every performance. Music was one of the many ways Kyle connected with others and he did so with heart, rhythm, and soul.
He was known for his incredible sense of humor, his kindness, and the way he always made people feel seen and loved. His heart was as big as his talent, and his absence leaves a space that cannot be filled.
To so many of us, Kyle wasn’t just a friend, he was family. His friendships spanned decades, built on loyalty, laughter, and an unshakable bond. Kyle had a rare gift for making people feel like they belonged, and that’s exactly what he did for countless friends throughout his life.
We are asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation will go directly toward supporting Kyle’s family with expenses related to the cost of a CTE test, which is not covered by insurance. Your generosity will also help provide some much-needed relief as they navigate this heartbreaking and unimaginable loss.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for taking the time to read about Kyle and the light he brought to so many lives. Your contributions, no matter the amount, mean the world to the Fether family. We are deeply grateful for your love, support, and prayers during this time of grief.
