Kyle Carson is my brother-in-law, and our family is facing a frightening and uncertain time. Just a few months ago, Kyle was welcomed into the family, and now everyone is rallying around him as he prepares for surgery to remove a large mass from his neck. The lesion is compressing his jugular vein and causing severe narrowing. It has also displaced his carotid artery and trachea and is affecting his thyroid. Unfortunately our worst fears have become a reality, the mass in Kyle’s neck is malignant. Specialist Dr. Tang says this mass must be removed and that it will be a complex surgery due to the effect it is having on all the vital structures in his neck.

As Kyle focuses on getting the care he needs, he has had to take time away from work. Kyle has been on unpaid FMLA for weeks. This fundraiser is being created to help ease the financial pressure during this time. Donations will go toward medical expenses, including the upfront cost required before surgery, as well as everyday living costs, helping Kyle and his family stay focused on his treatment and recovery instead of worrying about bills.
